We built what we wished existed
Elara was founded after watching a close friend navigate the chaos of dental tourism alone — no guidance, no aftercare, no recourse when something went wrong. That experience does not happen to Elara patients.
The dental tourism industry generates billions annually. The platforms that dominate it are directories — they list clinics, collect a referral fee, and have no stake in what happens to you once you land. There is no vetting beyond a registration fee. There is no aftercare. There is certainly no guarantee.
For the tens of thousands of UK patients who travel for dental work every year, this creates a lottery. The majority return with excellent outcomes. A significant minority experience complications, failed restorations, or communication breakdowns — and they discover, too late, that no one has any obligation to help them.
Elara is built on a different model. We are a coordination service, not a directory. We only work with clinics we have audited in person. We assign every patient a dedicated coordinator. We issue a Treatment Passport. We provide UK aftercare. And we back it all with a written 3-year guarantee that we fund ourselves.
We make money when your treatment goes well and you recommend us to someone else. That alignment of incentives is, we believe, the only structure that produces consistently good outcomes.

Clinical accountability
We only partner with clinics we have physically visited. A referral fee is not a vetting process. We inspect, we audit, and we drop clinics who do not meet our standard.
Whole-journey support
Our involvement does not end when you land at the clinic. We are reachable throughout your stay, at aftercare, and for three years after your treatment.
Patient-first advocacy
If a clinic underperforms, we intervene on your behalf. We have the contractual leverage to do so and the commercial incentive — our reputation depends on your outcome.
